The creative director for Chanel makeup (and the genius behind their always covetable limited edition nail polishes) Peter Phillips has created a stop-motion short film utilizing his beauty kit. The video was inspired by a set of headdresses that Phillips previously created for a Vogue Paris shoot but this time, tiny robotic-inspired characters have come alive, artistically composed from lipglosses, eyeshadow palettes, makeup brushes and lipsticks.
Phillips put this project together himself, having previously studied graphic design before - he attended Antwerp's Académie Royale des Beaux-Arts. However, the famous makeup artist didn't have a say on what music was used - “If it were up to me it would have been disco.”
