As with most
Christian Dior shows, the Spring/Summer 2011 show delivered colourful, attention-grabbing makeup to add to the 40's inspired sailor costumes and colour-bright tropical gowns on offer from the collection. Beauty was all about adding a dash of bright colour to both eyes and lips, with a mix of pink, blue, orange, green and blue appearing in almost neon shades.
Clashing colours were also teamed together - pink eyeshadow with bright red lips was one of the most obvious combinations, while elsewhere an acid-bright yellow eyeshadow was combined with a cherry red lipstick, contrasting eyes and lips dramatically. To get the look yourself, opt for a bright shade of lipstick in a red or dark pink, and team it with a primary colour eyeshadow - the brighter = the more like Dior. Below are the backstage beauty photos taken from the show as well as a few products that will help you replicate this bright beauty look - sizzling summer inspiration.
