The John Galliano catwalk show, which was scheduled to take place on Sunday as part of Paris Fashion Week has been cancelled. Galliano, who is known for his theatrical appearance at the end of each show, has reportedly checked in to a rehab center in Arizona. The show, which was supposed to take place on Sunday has had a change of format, and will now be a simple presentation for a selected amount of editors and buyers.

The presentation will be made up of 30 pieces that John had already completed before his arrest last Thursday (read about it here). A spokesperson for the label commented on the change of format: “We just felt it wasn’t appropriate to do a classic fashion show, but we’re doing John’s collection, for John, so that he returns quickly.”

The Christian Dior Autumn/Winter 2011 show is set to go ahead as scheduled today, and according to Jean-Paul Cauvin of industry journal Fashion Daily News "everyone will be there, finger on the trouser stitching, because the moment is historic."

Galliano will go on trail because of the incident that he was involved in which led to his arrest - if found guilty he could face a sentence of six months in jail and a fine of 22,500 euros.
