Givenchy 'Acid' Summer 2011 Makeup Collection

Givenchy's makeup creative director Nicolas Degennes believes his new 'Acid' makeup collection for Summer 2011 does everything in its power to make the wearer stand out, with neon-inspired shades that dare to be as colour-strong as possible. He commented: “It mutes the volumes and makes the materials come alive. Like veins of light, pulsing with a unifying electrified energy that sweeps away all inertia, the neon colours resonate and amplify each other, stirring up a rebellious atmosphere in a world that knows no inhibition. Bridging the gap between day and night, neon is the vital force of summer 2011. A season that’s a call to enjoyment, to enjoy greater freedom. And we dare to answer that call, fearing no other consequence than a moment of happiness… to be shared.”

Some of the collection's highlights are an eye-popping orange nail polish, smoothing citrus-looking lipglosses and their usual 'Prismissime Yeux Eye Shadow Palette' which comes in a rainbow of shades. Also included in the collection is 'Mister Radiant' which is a gel-textured skin polisher. This collection mixes berry-tinted blushes with blindingly-bright eye-colours to create the perfect combination of summer-infused beauty. Below is a look at the collection.
