According to Prada and Stella McCartney, fruit isn't just for eating. The Spring/Summer 2011 collections were full of fruity inspiration, from citrus colours to actual fruit prints, fashion embraced all things juicy. Prada and Stella McCartney were the two most obvious examples of this, with fresh fruit prints splashed all over dresses, skirts and tops, as well as accessories such as bags, earrings and shoes. Charlotte Olympia also drew inspiration from a fruit bowl for her accessories this season, designing a clutch bag with the appearance of a banana, as well as a pair of heels made with the shapes of fruit. High-street stores such as Topshop and Asos have caught on to the trend too, so you can get the tasty trend on a budget. Take a look at who has gone bananas for bananas this season!
