Proenza Schouler have created a new mini PS1 wallet, which they describe as being the perfect in-between purse - not as casual as a day bag, yet less dressy than a clutch. The new wallet launches on April 11th and comes in a bright apple-green colour, complete with the PS1's signature two front straps and envelope style closure. Speaking about the shrunken wallet, Proenza Schouler designer Lazaro Hernandez commented on the new design:
“Sometimes an evening clutch feels too fancy, but a day bag feels too normal." The innovative duo even made sure that the credit card slots were protected from the magnetic stripe used inside the purse by creating a special lining. Hernandez, who clearly thought about each detail carefully said that “nothing was left to chance" during the design process. He believes the new design is the perfect solution for toting around everyday essentials “but the wallet is a more discreet way of carrying around the pure essentials: money, cards, some keys, what else is there?”
