According to reports, bosses at Dior have still yet to decide who will step in to fill
John Galliano's shoes. At a recent shareholders meeting, Bernard Arnault revealed that they will soon be interviewing a number of candidates for the job. A source inside the company believes that Bernard Arnault's advisors have chosen a shortlist of designers that they are considering for the role, including Tom Ford, Hedi Slimane (who is also rumored to be taking over at Yves Saint Laurent -

WWD reports that Dior are less concerned about filling the job, and simply want to find “someone who understands Dior and fits the needs of the company.” Riccardo Tisci is reportedly hoping to land the role, and has already sketched up his ideas for the label which he hopes to show bosses. For now, Dior will continue to rely on their in-house studio, which is currently being run by Bill Gaytten. Gaytten has worked alongside Galliano since the 80's, so is sure to be able to keep things under control until they appoint a new designer, but for now, the fashion house's future is still uncertain - can anyone do Dior as well as Galliano?
