Tommy Hilfiger's 'Prep World' Pop Up Goes on Tour

Tommy Hilfiger's 'Prep World' pop up store was created to look like a Hamptons beach house. Made from scratch on location, the pop up store has begun to travel the world.. It was erected in Paris outside Georges Pompidou Museum, while the store has already seen New York and has now arrived in London (starting from May 6th) where it will stay for ten days at  the East Piazza in Covent Garden before moving on to a new destination. Speaking about the pop up on its opening night, Hilfiger commented: “We thought, rather than open a regular pop-up shop, we decided to build a beach cottage and really fill it with anything and everything you need for a great summer in the world of prep.”

Inside the store, an exclusive mini-collection will be on sale which Hilfiger have created especially for the pop up. The limited edition Prep World collection features coloured chinos, anchor print dresses and boat shoes, as well as many other special items including refrigeration magnets, dog collars and even polo-shirt cookies. Hilfiger spoke on how his clothes are classic: “The preppy lifestyle has gone global, we feel that our business has grown so well because preppy travels so well. It’s all-American classic.”
