Urban Outfitters Autumn/Winter 2011 Preview!!

Today in Urban Outfitter's Oxford Street store, tucked away in the corner on the second floor, was a beautiful showcase of Urban Outfitter's Autumn/Winter 2011 collections. Here is a sneaky peak at what you can expect to see in store when winter comes your way...

A DARK ROMANCE

Influenced by vintage finds from a jumble of different eras, Urban Outfitters chose 30's lace and 40's florals with emphasis on a higher waistline for a feminine look with a 'dark romantic soul'.

COBAIN

"A diverse mix of androgynous early 90's grunge and the bohemia of a global traveller. The opulence of jacquard textiles and distressed velvet collide with menswear plaids and 90's blue denim."

90's band tees, knitwear and chunky men's style boots collide with rich berry red and army green whilst delicate lingerie pieces are layered with grungy boyfriend cardigans. Knitted jumpers are worn over statement collar shirts and fur is used to customise the look.

As an alternative to flats stacked platforms are shown which are to be worn with scrunched down school style socks. 'Cobain' combines grunge with cool college chic creating an overall fresh and exciting new look.

URBAN RENEWAL

MENSWEAR

Fur, check, tweed, Urban Outfitters AW11 Menswear collection offers a feel good folky feel with a scout like woodland style. With bright bold patterns in amongst chunky knit and elbow patches, the menswear collection is fun, quirky and cool.
