Christian Dior's Love Affair Inspired Autumn/Winter 2011 Lookbook

The Christian Dior Autumn/Winter 2011 lookbook shines a new light on John Galliano's last collection for the fashion house.Placing the historically inspired designs in front of a lavish backdrop, and giving the lookbook itself a playful story line to set the mood, each Dior creation comes alive and plays an important role in telling the love affair inspired tale behind the lookbook.

The Dior website explains: ”Dior’s Fall ready-to-wear collection takes its inspiration from the legendary love affair between Mrs. Wallis Simpson and Edward VIII. English romanticism is channeled into Balmoral fringed tweeds and candy-coloured tartans with Prince of Wales checks. Ultimate luxury and expertise create evening glamour in elegant draped gowns and head to toe sequins to ensure that every head is turned.” And we can see another love affair developing with all of the accessories. Sigh.
