On the 77th floor of a bronze skyscraper which dots the East River in Manhattan, New York, Czech model Hana Soukupová lives with her husband, Drew Aaron. Their ultra luxurious sky-high abode is decorated with modern sleek furniture, sprinkled with pop art designs and polished off with filled-out bookcases, punchy coloured loveseats and unexpected decor. The couple intended to decorate the space to compliment their art collection which includes work by Andy Warhol and Jean-Michel Basquiat, and both of those artists have clearly influenced the overall design. The modern coffee tables and wooden-framed glassy windows provided them with a canvas with which they've added pops of colour to an otherwise subtle, modern layout.
The 3,000-square-foot space is open and relaxed, with plenty of cushy sofas to sprawl out on, as well as a modern and functional kitchen which is titled with an ode to Andy Warhol's Campbell's Soup artwork which runs up one wall in dramatic juxtaposition to the other sleek surfaces. The couple have cleverly mingled surprising cartoon-like art pieces with their own choice of serene, minimal furniture to create an original living space that you simply couldn't find anywhere else in the world. Their apartment may be 77 floors high in the sky, but Hana and her husband have curated a space which captures the essence of cool New York.
