John Galliano may already be plotting his return to fashion design, but since he won't be returning at his own 'John Galliano' label, or at Christian Dior, he might be open to a high street collaboration. Today, Vogue UK reports that Galliano is in the early stages of discussing a collaboration with Topshop, following in the footsteps of his close friend Kate Moss. Galliano was in attendance at Moss' recent wedding, as was Arcadia boss Sir Philip Green. According to Vogue, "discussions - which are said to be in the earliest stages - look set to take place soon".
Galliano is currently awaiting the outcome of his recent trial which will be announced this September. If a Topshop collaboration is really on the cards, it would be on a par with collaborations such as Lanvin for H&M, Kate Moss for Topshop and the upcoming Versace for H&M collaboration. Galliano is currently still recovering in rehab, so would a new design project be too soon for the designer? Watch this space!
UPDATE: Topshop have just tweeted "It's incredible how rumors get started!"
