Alexander McQueen Savage Beauty Exhibit Heading to London?

The record breaking "Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty" exhibit at the Met's Costume Institute in New York may be headed to London. The exhibition did so well that it was extended for as long as the museum could possibly hold it for, and set records for the number of people who attended. Now, it looks likely that the same exhibit will move to London, possibly to celebrate the label's 20th anniversary. A spokesperson for the label commented that they're currently searching for a location to host the exhibit in Britain, but haven't made plans certain yet.

They stated: "Alexander McQueen appreciates the huge amount of interest the public has shown towards the Savage Beauty exhibition. We have been in discussion with a number of major venues in London for some time now, however nothing has been finalized. Please be assured that an official announcement will be made the moment we confirm our plans for London."

A petition even circulated to have the exhibition moved to London, and it is now reported that it will be brought to the city for 2013 in time for the 20th celebration.
