Gemma Ward's undeterred focus on her film career continues to pay off, as she has landed a role in a highly anticipated film with an all-star cast - The Great Gatsby, which is currently filming in Australia. The film stars Leonardo DiCaprio as Jay Gatsby, Tobey Maguire as Nick Carraway, and Carey Mulligan in the main female role, Daisy Buchanan. The film is being directed by Baz Luhrman. Although the main female role is already taken, there is speculation that Gemma may play the part of red-haired Catherine, which is a minor part in the film.
Gemma has previously starred in the fourth Pirates of the Caribbean film as a mermaid, as well as the Australian romantic drama 'The Black Balloon'.
