British designer Christopher Kane can be credited with turning his galactic inspired t-shirts into a huge trend - the must have galaxy print, which can now be found on everything from leggings to shoes thanks to the designer. The best example of Kane's galaxy prints can be seen in his Resort 2012 collection where it has been cleverly mixed with leather and girly ruffles. Peter Pilotto has also picked up on the asteroid-inspired trend, using neon pinks and icy blues to splash on a range of bags when he teamed up with Kipling recently for a collaboration.
The galaxy print trend is unique because it's simple to D.I.Y. unlike other more lavish catwalk trends. Just take a pair of tights, or an old t-shirt, or whatever you've chosen to star-ify, and spritz it with bleach unevenly, allowing it to dry before adding it to your wardrobe. For the more adventurous, colours and glitter can layer up the print. VoilĂ
- a galaxy all of your own.
