Switching from modelling to being a musician might be an usual career change, but here are 6 models who have given it a go. While some of these models have only tried their hands at small musical projects and continue to model, others such as Carla Bruni, have made a success career out of music.
Agyness Deyn
At the height of her career a few years ago, British model Agyness Deyn released her first single - a collaboration with the band 'Five O'Clock Heroes'. The song, named 'Who' starred Agyness in the video and was a success among the model's fans, however it was critically panned. The band did appear at Glastonbury and Agyness even performed with them at the legendary festival one year. These days Agyness is firmly focusing on her modeling career.
Karen Elson
British model Karen Elson made the move to music when she helped found the New York City based cabaret band 'The Citizens Band'. Her performance with the band has been met with acclaim, while Elson has also released a solo album, ' “The Ghost Who Walks' and performed backing vocals and several duets with other artists.
Naomi Campbell
Naomi Campbell's album 'Baby Woman' was her only musical endeavour to date. Released in 1995, only one music video was made for the album - for a song named 'Love and Tears' which was directed by Anton Corbijn. The album was not successful in the UK and was never officially released anywhere else. However, it is seen as unappreciated and was perhaps under-marketed which was the main reason it didn't achieve chart success at the time.
