Today marks the end of an era for Dolce & Gabbana's younger label D&G. The label showed its final collection in Milan. Designers Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana have decided to close the label, with the hope of merging it back in with their Dolce & Gabbana mainline. The label was founded in 1994, placing an emphasis on being more casual yet equally as sexy and with Dolce & Gabbana's signature leopard print still on offer. The D&G label has accounted for 40 percent of their sales, so to many, the move is baffling, although it appears their price point may drop now, which will see more interest in the Dolce & Gabbana line. We can now expect the Dolce & Gabbana mainline to offer a mixture of both of the labels signatures.
