Vintage Style Icon: Debbie Harry

One of the only women to break through in the male-dominated punk rock scene, Debbie Harry quickly shot to fame, becoming a music icon along with her band Blondie. A regular at Studio 54, Debbie's style was a mixture of sexy and nonchalant - slouchy vests, skin-tight dresses and sunglasses, as well as skinny jeans, were the staples of her wardrobe, not forgetting her peroxide blonde layered hair that inspired the band title. Debbie's style was a rock'n'roll mix, she paired leather jackets with oversized dark sunglasses, she ripped up t-shirts and wore them anyway - she invented the cool rock chick that so many are inspired by still to this day, including designers and fashion editors who channel the Blondie rocker girl into their work. Here is a look at some of her sartorial hits from the past.
