While rumors continue to grow that Marc Jacobs may be taking over at Christian Dior, there is more speculation about who might potentially replace Marc at Louis Vuitton if he does take the job, and the latest rumors suggests that it could be Tom Ford. Vogue Italia report that LVMH are hoping to employ Ford, who previously was creative director at Gucci and Yves Saint Laurent, before he launching his own womenswear label which he now designs for.

Carine Roitfeld told Vogue that if Marc Jacobs was to take over at Dior, she would never miss a show:
"Marc is used to working for a big brand and he's been working at LVMH for 12 years now, he understands the company, how it works and how to work with them. He's been given the shoulders to do the Dior job already. He's never done couture though, so I'd be really excited to see him do couture for Dior. He's a very smart person. If Marc gets the job, I won't miss a single show."
Meanwhile, Marc Jacobs is staying quiet on the topic, insisting he is happy at Louis Vuitton: "I could never do this anywhere else, it's not just a Paris thing - Vuitton allows me. It's really, really something I feel particularly proud of and am grateful to the team for. We've all worked really hard and gone through a lot to get this to where it is now and we're starting to see results."
