14 of the Best Headwear Designs from the Spring 2012 Collections

From slouchy beanies to cowboy hats, headwear was all about making a bold statement for Spring/Summer 2012. At the Marc by Marc Jacobs show, we saw plastic visors being used to top off the sporty, carefree vibe of the clothing, while at the mainline Marc Jacobs collection, he once again went sporty with a neon yellow beanie hat, worn with a retro looking matching sweater. Kenzo covered their headwear with bright coloured mesh to make a unique looking straw boat hat, while Junya Watanabe outdid everyone by creating intricate bird-inspired headpieces that went with lush camel tones. The 70's style floppy hat was also once again prominent, popping up at both Anna Sui and Richard Chai Love, while Dior went even more vintage with 20's style hats teamed with fresh faces and bright red lipstick.
