A First Look at Jason Wu's Collection for Target

A few images of Jason Wu's new collaboration with Target have leaked, giving us a sneak peek at what will land in stores on February 5th, the official launch date. The collection was inspired by French New Wave Films, as well as a cat named Milu which features on some of the prints. The collection is girly and retro, with peter pan collars, shirt dresses and trench coats completing this vintage Parisian looking collection.

According to Wu, he didn't want to recreate any of his past designs for the collection, instead he created something fresh that was still obviously designed by him:
"My goal was not to duplicate anything from my main collection, instead I designed completely new clothes and accessories that reflect my taste and have a voice of their own."
With prices coming in at under $60 ($50 for a bag, while dresses are priced at around the $40 mark) this collection is modern but with a timeless appeal, and while many other designer collaborations feature more obvious pieces, these designs seem to have a sort of longevity to them, and at an affordable price, they are worth a try! Below are two leaked previews and a first look at the ad campaign too.
