J Crew Collaborates With Indego Africa for Charity Bracelets

While everyone is talking about the new H&M collaboration with Anna Dello Russo (see the photos here), another exciting designer collaboration has also hit the spotlight - J. Crew's latest collaboration is all in the name of charity. Teaming up with Indego Africa to create a line of wrap style printed bracelets which launched last week, J. Crew inspiring collaboration aims to help women in Rwanda by providing training and encouragement to those who need it:
Indego Africa is a nonprofit enterprise that partners with women artisans in Rwanda to bring their brilliantly colored and completely handcrafted pieces to the rest of the world. And that's just the beginning of the company's commitment to social change: Indego went above and beyond in the name of empowerment, creating a business training program to encourage entrepreneurship and independence among the artisans.
The bracelets are woven from locally sourced Dutch wax cloth, and are even individually signed by the local artists who created them, giving them a heartfelt personal touch. Below are the three styles on offer - they're available for $22.50 on the J.Crew site here.
