Vice Shoot 'There Will Be Blood' Features Periods and Used Tampons

Vice magazine's latest editorial, captured by photographer Emma Arvida Bystrom, is setting out to shock by featuring periods. Very aptly named 'There Will Be Blood' the photos see girls posing with bloody underwear and with blood stains on their body, and one snap shows a girl throwing out her used, and very bloody tampon - how desperate are they for attention?

Fashion editorials have covered many taboo topics out there - terrorism, rape, sexuality, you name it. This one certainly takes the prize home for being unique, but it's not exactly selling the clothes used in the shoot. The girls used throughout look more like average girls than models, so it is setting out to be relatable, even if they are feeding off the 'shock value' they've created.
