Doll-like models began to become a catwalk trend in the early noughties, with the likes of Jessica Stam, Lily Cole, Gemma Ward and several others increasing the popularity of girls with big eyes and doll-like facial features which made them look slightly whimsical and striking. The trend was not a passing one, as many of the girls who made it big for their doll-like looks have become some of the world's current biggest famous faces, while plenty of newer girls have emerged with the same look influenced by the doll-like trend.
