For Autumn/Winter 2012, designers created a mixture of headwear that not only completed their looks, but were a firm focal point of their collection. The ringleader was Marc Jacobs, who created massive statements with his hat designs for both the Louis Vuitton show and his own Marc Jacobs collection - both hats were hugely oversized and featured furry detailing.
Also getting in on the hat act was Giorgio Armani, who tilted sleek black fedoras on their side, exposing only one side of the model's face to the light. Roberto Cavalli also placed an emphasis on headwear - he created towering textured caps, each with a leather pointy brim.
Here is a look at some of the most statement hats for the new season.
