Although we're always excited to see what new faces will dominate the catwalk when Fashion Week rolls around, there are also some big faces we've noticed that have been absent from the shows as of late. These girls might just be too busy to fly around the world but a big Fashion Week comeback would be an amazing boost to their career - here is 5 top models who we hope will surprise us this Fashion Week.
1. Daria Werbowy
Although she's been consistantly pulling in campaign and magazine work, there has been a distinct lack of Daria on the catwalk for the past few seasons. She recently landed one of three Vogue Paris September issue covers and is now the new face of Céline for Autumn/Winter 2012 - if ever there was a good time for a Fashion Week comeback, it's now.
2. Freja Beha Erichsen
After she was dropped as the face of Chanel after fronting their campaigns for several seasons running, it seems Freja has been laying low and has only been working on a few select projects. Recently spotted enjoying a vacation in Hawaii (see photos here), Freja is perhaps resting up for what could be a big Fashion Week if she decides to make a return - Chanel's catwalk isn't the same without her!
3. Gemma Ward
Gemma Ward's career as a model came to an abrupt end in 2008 when she decided to take some time off to focus on her acting career. She is now currently working on 'The Great Gatsby' and has made several other film appearances. Although it is unlikely she'll make a return to the catwalk any time soon, Gemma is a much-missed face that we'd love to see make a big comeback.
Sasha Pivovarova recently welcomed a baby girl named Mia and has since been enjoying the company of her newest family member. Now feeling back in shape since the birth (her recently twitpics show that she's snapped back to her former model shape!) this season could be Sasha's big return to the catwalk if she's ready to get back to work - after that, it won't be long before she's back gracing countless covers.
5. Vlada Roslyakova
Vlada Roslyakova continues to pull in editorial work and walked a handful of shows during the last Fashion Week, but she deserves bigger and better appearances - Vlada needs to make a big comeback and this season could be it!
