Preparing to take to the catwalk for the Balmain Spring/Summer 2013 collection show, we took a look behind the scenes at the flurry of activity which went on pre-show. First - the makeup and hair. Models were given a flawlessly natural complexion with minimal eyeshadow and nude lips. Hair was pulled back but in a messy style completed with a single plait. Each model wore oversized metal hoop earrings with Olivier Rousteing's latest creations - form-fitting sculptural dresses, 80's inspired leather pieces and cinched waists formed the basis of his creative vision.
