Antoine Arnault Says Designers Are Not Artists, John Galliano Was Difficult

Antoine Arnault, son of LVMH CEO Bernard Arnault and who is currently dating Russian beauty Natalia Vodianova, recently opened up on dealing with the designers who work as part of the company. In one comment, Antoine says that designers aren't artists because they also need to think about the business side of things:
"I’m sorry, but designers are not artists. They may have the talent of one, but if they want to work in that way they should paint or sculpt. Here they’re working in business and they need a brief. That’s what my father does so well. I’ve witnessed him do it countless times and I’m really inspired by that."

Antoine also reveals that towards the end of his time at Dior, John Galliano was increasingly difficult to deal with and he wouldn't listen to anything the company had to say:
"You know, towards the end, my father just couldn’t talk to John Galliano at all, it was impossible – he wouldn’t listen to anything. At that point, it crashes."
