British model Kate Moss may be sober and living a happy life with new husband Jamie Hince and her daughter Lila Grace these days, but in 2005 she experienced the biggest scandal of her career: photos of her allegedly taking cocaine were published in the British tabloids. She swiftly issued an apology, although she was already dropped by Chanel & H&M, losing over £4million. Kate had been dating Libertines frontman Pete Doherty at the time and in September of that year, she checked into rehab. A source commented at the time:
"Kate knows she has to take action. And there is no better place than The Meadows."
When she left The Meadows facility, she encouraged Doherty to also seek help, but he failed to complete the rehabilitation program and their relationship ended (most likely because he failed to sober up) in November that year. Since then, Kate has managed to slowly rebuild her professional career and has since made a complete comeback, landing numerous high profile campaigns and Vogue covers since the scandal. She has still never publicly admitted to drug use.
