Texan model Ashley Smith touched on a sensitive topic when she posted the below twitpic of herself welding a large gun with a smile on her face. Although she wrote "I'm not saying I support gun using, just gun posing" with the image, some of her followers still found the image insensitive following several recent shootings including the Connecticut tragedy which left several young schoolchildren and teachers dead.
One follower wrote back to the image: "What is it with people and their zealotry for guns? It's flippin' creepy." While another commented: "yes there is some fascination around weapons but using follows posing very often." Is Ashley's gun photo just for fun, or does it touch on a subject that is still extremely sensitive as America finally moves towards reforming gun laws in the wake of multiple shootings?
