Karl Lagerfeld's finale at the Chanel Haute Couture Spring/Summer 2013 show contained a strong message - his support for gay marriage.
Two models (Kati Nescher and Ashleigh Good) appeared in white bridal-like dresses holding hands in Lagerfeld's dreamy forest setting, accompanied by the designer's adorable godson Hudson Kroenig. Although he didn't comment on it initially, the designer has confirmed that it was to show his support, commenting that "Of course it was."

Lagerfeld is expressing his opinion on the subject just after French President Francois-Hollande endorsed a controversial law to allow same-sex marriage in the country, although many French people have shown that they're against the law. Lagerfeld also commented: "I don't even understand the debate, since 1904 [in France], the church and state have been separate."
