Marc Jacobs Poses for Diet Coke as New Creative Director

Marc Jacobs has been named the new Creative Director of Diet Coke. The designer will keep the title for a full year as the company celebrates Diet Coke's 30th anniversary. In recent years Karl Lagerfeld and Jean Paul Gaultier have received the title, and Jacobs has planned to give Diet Coke a "stylish and light-hearted" makeover, designing limited edition bottles and cans of the drink.

His makeover will aim to "capture the rise of female empowerment through the Eighties, Nighties and Noughties". He commented on his new position:

"I feel very privileged to be the new creative director of Diet Coke and put my stamp on the 30th anniversary campaign, Diet Coke is an icon - and I love an icon."

As well as a teaser photo of Jacobs downing a can of the drink, he also stars in a video spoofing Diet Coke's famously sexy 90s commercial - watch below!
