5 Models Who Stay in Shape by Practicing Yoga

Good for both the mind and the body, Yoga has multiple benefits and these 5 models all say they practice it regularly. Gisele Bundchen credits yoga with helping her keep her model figure during and after her pregnancy, while some models believe the meditation aspect is soothing and the perfect way to start a day. Some combine Yoga with more physical activities such as boxing or Pilates in order to strike a balance and burn even more calories.

Alessandra Ambrosio
Alessandra combines yoga with Pilates and other workouts: "I love going to spin at SoulCycle, I love Pilates, I feel like that gets you toned and your belly will be a hard rock! And yoga. If I can't find those classes, I love going to the beach and surfing or playing volleyball with my friends. I love being active every day."

Anja Rubik
Anja does yoga whenever she can and finds it soothing: “I love yoga and I practice it regularly. I started over three years ago. My friend was going through a difficult break up and she started yoga, and it opened up her eyes and mind and everything. She pulled me in, and I got addicted as well. It’s been over three years, and I try to do it as often as my schedule lets me because I feel really good after."

Candice Swanepoel
Candice loves to relax with yoga and turns to boxing when she needs to burn more calories: "[Yoga is] one of my new favorite ways; I just started doing more. It's nice to just be able to stretch and work on your body but also your mind, boxing has always worked really well for me as a full-body workout. I like something that's fast; you really feel like you're getting the energy up."

Gisele Bundchen
Gisele once said that "moving meditation feels so good" and commented that she continued practicing yoga all throughout her pregnancy with son Benjamin, taking it back up immediately following the birth to help her regain her model figure.

Miranda Kerr

Miranda loves to do yoga in the morning: 'I make sure I do half an hour of yoga in the morning so that then I’m feeling good. I have been working out quite a bit doing Pilates and yoga and strength training with weights and resistant bands and I eat super healthy. Health is really wealth I think.'
