Luella Bartley & Katie Hillier to Take Over at Marc by Marc Jacobs

Marc Jacobs will no longer be creative director for the Marc by Marc Jacobs label - he has officially handed over to British designer Luella Bartley and Katie Hillier to take over his position. The duo will now work as a team, allowing Jacobs more time to work on the Marc Jacobs and Louis Vuitton collections.

Bartley takes on the role of design director and Hillier has been named creative director. Jacobs commented on the new move:
"I'm very excited to have Katie here in her new role. Her creativity and energy inspires me and everybody she works with, she is a great leader and a team player, and a great friend to Robert [Duffy] and me."

Hillier personally selected Bartley to work with her on the new designs, as they previously designed side-by-side for Bartley's namesake 'Luella' collection. Their first collection will be for Autumn/Winter 2014 while they also plan to introduce new product lines.
