Brazilian supermodel Gisele Bundchen has sparked an impassioned debate worldwide amongst parents and parenting/child interest groups by piercing her baby daughter's ears at the tender age of 7 months. When the pictures surfaced earlier this week, the earring sported by baby Vivian was evidently missed by many, who picked up on the photo of evidence of the touching relationship between a child and her loving mother. The more eagle-eyed picked up on the controversial element of the photo however, and twitter has been set ablaze with furious debate.
Gisele has been slammed by many for what is felt to an act too far, in a society already accused of forcing children to grow up quickly. Others however, have defended the model, offering her support for her actions. A yet unfounded rumour has been doing the rounds since, that the model is intending to go a step further and pierce her daughters navel, a piercing which Gisele herself had done at a young age - however it should be noted, that at this time the rumour is without basis. Stranger things have happened however!
