Hoping to raise some awareness for the 'Think Eat and Save' program, Brazilian model stopped off at the Today Show in New York City. Looking flawless in a black blazer, jeans and heels, Gisele wowed with a glowing complexion and wavy hair. Clearing taking her role as United Nations Environmental Program Ambassador seriously, Gisele commented during her appearance:
"I think a lot of things that I actually didn't know that I found out about the Think Eat and Save program is, did you know that the 40% of the food produced in the US gets thrown away because it doesn't look a certain way? I mean it's crazy just because the apple is not the right size or the carrot is not straight enough, it's just not accepted.
"So amazing, delicious food gets thrown away because it doesn't look a certain way. I mean, none of us look the same, you know? I mean we are part of nature. In my garden, like all my carrots look like really crooked but they taste delicious."
