A new episode of ABC's Family Confidential features Australian model Miranda Kerr's family. Miranda's parents claim they haven't seen the model in over a year and would love for her to visit them so they could spend time with their grandson Flynn.
Miranda's mom Therese was previously fired from her role as managing director at Miranda's company Kora skincare. She has commented that her daughter has cut her family out and is living a different life in New York:
"Miranda's life is so different now (and) she's surrounded by yes people all the time. It's so important for me to be real, to be true, to be who she needs me to be."
Miranda's parents only found out about her divorce from husband Orlando Bloom when he decided to call them to share the news. Mr Kerr said:
"I remember him saying 'we're always going to be family' and that's how we'll treat Orlando, Miranda and Flynn. We're all family."
He adds that he would love the chance to bond with his grandson Flynn and wishes his daughter married someone who wasn't in the spotlight:
"What I'd really like to do as a grandad now is teach Flynn how to milk a cow, how to ride a horse, teach him all them (sic) country things. After what I know now I would rather she did just marry a nobody because you really can't get that family time by yourself. I just hope Flynn grows up and he wants to be with his nan and pop."
In more news related to the model, Miranda was interviewed age 14 by reporter Tracy Grimshaw after winning a modeling competition and said at the time she would never pose in lingerie:
"I won't be doing any lingerie shots or anything like that."
