Barbara Palvin on Fame, Fans & the Importance of Instagram

21-year-old Hungarian model Barbara Palvin covers the latest issue of Malibu magazine, and speaks about her career. Barbara says that fame hasn't happened instantaneously for her, so she has been able to adapt slowly to it and it is something she is now getting used to:

“I started when I was 16, and so it’s not like all of a sudden I got famous. It’s a step-by step. You get used to it.”

The model explains that Instagram is now very important for models, because often potential clients look up who they might work with beforehand on the site:

“When clients want to see how we look, they’ll just go on our Instagram. We can take really good pictures of ourselves.”

On how fans react to her:

“Whenever someone walks up to me, and says ‘OMG are you Barbara?’ I say, ‘Yeah’ but then she starts crying – I just want to say, ‘Don’t cry. I’m just like you.”
