John Galliano Confirmed as Creative Director of Maison Martin Margiela

It has just been confirmed that former Dior designer John Galliano is set to make a big comeback, as the new creative director at Maison Martin Margiela. Dismissed from his position at Dior in 2011, his comeback show for the Margiela label will be at Paris Couture Fashion Week in January 2015.

Renzo Rosso, president of OTB which is in control of the company, commented on Galliano's much-awaited return:

"Margiela is ready for a new charismatic creative soul. John Galliano is one of the greatest, undisputed talents of all time - a unique, exceptional couturier for a maison that always challenged and innovated the world of fashion. I look forward to his return to create that fashion dream that only he can create, and wish him to here find his new home."
