Australian model Miranda Kerr has opened up on her personal style icons, revealing that from a young age, she was greatly influenced by her grandmother and enjoyed watching her put together outfits. She adds that she also loves how stylish Cate Blanchett always looks and is influenced by her travel around the world too:
"My grandmother inspired my style from when I was a very young girl. I used to love watching her put outfits together – it wasn’t necessarily about spending money, it was about tailoring outfits specific to her body shape. I also find Cate Blanchett’s style very inspiring, elegant and timeless and she was exceptionally gorgeous at this year’s Oscars. I also find lots of style inspiration from my travels and experiences in different cultures.”
Opening up on her opinion of Australian fashion, the model says she believes it is generally wearable and quite easy to wear which she thinks reflects the country's laidback vibe. She has also been impressed with the new Louis Vuitton collection:
“Australian style is very wearable, practical, easygoing and relaxed. I think it’s quite reflective of our attitude. My personal style is quite wearable and functional. My favourite runway fashion looks? I’d have to say I was really inspired by Nicolas Ghesquière’s collection at Louis Vuitton. I honestly feel like I could wear almost every piece in the collection.”
