Vogue Paris editor Emmanuelle Alt has stirred up some controversy in a recent interview with British Vogue. When asked if she would consider herself a feminist, she reportedly looked "aghast" by the suggestion and commented:
"No, not at all! Life would be miserable without men. Who would you buy all those shoes for?"
It appears Emmanuelle still associates feminism with man-hating extremes, rather than the actual definition - which is simply to be supportive of equal rights for all women - and it's not about deleting men from the face of the earth. You can still buy shoes, Emmanuelle.
