Shot in a secluded ochre-tinted canyon, Kenzo's Resort 2016 collection drew inspiration from nature, with dusty, earthy colour tones - many of which almost disappeared into the barren backdrop. Photographed in a bold cinematic style, the lookbook itself presents a haunting artistic vision. Designers Humberto Leon and Carol Lim may have toned down their usually vibrant colour scheme, but there were still subtle elements of quirk within, including cactus prints and camouflage. Clothing was finely structured, form-fitting and even with a military edge. The result was a grown-up and refined collection that still hasn't lost its sense of fun and understand its heritage.
