A Moi Spring/Summer 2016 - New York Fashion Week

New York Fashion Week's Spring/Summer 2016 collections kicked off with several presentations, including A Moi. Designed by Alejandra Alonso, the pieces were minimally cut but boldly embellished with flower-like petal trim in bold shades of blue and purple which contrasted against the otherwise neutral-coloured designs. Light and feminine, the designs were composed into very wearable ensembles - crop tops underneath trench coats, mini-dresses teamed with snug tailored coats, slip-style strap maxi-dresses that looked elegant enough for evening. The collection was modern, with enough quirk to give it its own identity and with the kind of appeal that makes for a good wardrobe staple.
