5 Models Share How They Use Coconut Oil in Their Beauty Regimes

Coconut oil has become a beauty staple and the increasingly popular oil has been praised by many models as a hydrating and health-boosting product that is very versatile and multi-purpose. From hair masks to body scrubs, these models put their coconut oil to work, creating their own ways to add it to their beauty regimes.

1. Carolyn Murphy

Carolyn applies the oil all over: “I swear by coconut oil, and even raw olive oil. I’ve even been known to take it on the plane with me and slather it on, and people think I’m weird, but who cares? I slather it on my body, and on the tips of my hair.”

  2. Devon Windsor
Devon always has coconut oil on hand for all of her beauty needs when she doesn't have products: "I use coconut oil a lot when I don't have products handy. I even put it on my bleached hair when I don't have creams and oils around."

  3. Lily Aldridge

Lily mixes coconut oil with coffee to create a body scrub: "I make my own coffee scrub for [boosting] circulation and getting rid of cellulite. It’s just ground-up coffee and you mix it with coconut oil—it smells heavenly. I use organic coconut oil or jojoba oil as a moisturizer when I get out of the bath. Your body just drinks it up."

  4. Maria Borges

Maria applies coconut oil all over to keep her skin hydrated: "Every morning I wash my face with cold-filtered water—Beauty Water by Jonathan—and then I apply coconut oil as a moisturizer on my face and body."

  5. Miranda Kerr

Miranda says she uses coconut oil both in her beauty regime and also in the kitchen: "I cook with it, use it in my hair, it's great to remove makeup ... really good for eye makeup if you've got sensitive eyes. If you have a burn, like if you've burned yourself with a curling iron, you can put a bit of that on there to help. Sometimes I sleep with coconut oil in my hair. The Clear Intense Hydration Mask, which has coconut oil in it, is good to put on the ends of your hair to smooth and keep nourished."
