At Chloé's Autumn/Winter 2016 presentation, show notes cited French journalist Anne-France Dautheville as one of the collection's inspiration points. Anne-France was a female motorcyclist who hit the road in the '70s - riding from Paris to Isfahan in Iran before making her way to Afghanistan solo. In 1973, she covered 20,000km over three different continents. In 1992, she released a book about her travels titled 'And I have Followed the Wind'.
Chloe creative director Clare Waight Keller took inspiration from Anne-France's rebellious spirit, creating several strong '70s biker looks for the new Autumn/Winter 2016 collection. Take a look back at Anne-France's journey and Keller's designs below.
