Gucci Collaborated With a Graffiti Artist for Their Autumn 2016 Collection

In a weirdly meta move, Gucci decided to collaborate with a graffiti artist who regularly sprays his interpretation of their famous 'double-G' logo on the streets. Designer Alessandro Michele enlisted GucciGhost (@troubleandrew) to design several customised pieces with 'G' logos and graffiti motifs to be splashed all over the label's new Autumn/Winter 2016 collection including jackets, skirts and even a bag which reads 'Real Gucci'. Michele commented on the idea: “I saw the way [he] was using the symbol of the company and I thought it was quite genius. It’s completely different from the idea of copying. It’s the idea that you try to take to the street, through language like graffiti, the symbols of the company.”
